The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Prince Edward County Elementary School (PECES) recently hosted a Spring Fling. The event, which was open to all Eagle families, featured a variety of vendors, local community agencies, entrepreneurs, and food trucks.
The Spring Fling would not have been possible without the support of the PTO members, PECES staff, and the outstanding sponsors who made this event a reality. In particular, the PTO would like to express its gratitude to Lonnie and Marion Hahesy-Calhoun, Bridgettte and Sha-Ron Bland, The Farmville Herald, Four Paw Bed & Biscuit , L.L.C., Red Door 104, PE's Kids, and Southside Electric Cooperative for their exceptional sponsorship of the event. These sponsors demonstrated a commitment to our school and community, and we are grateful for their support.
In addition, the PTO would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the businesses and individuals who generously donated items for the basket raffle. Parents could complete the registration process for Pre-K or Kindergarten while enjoying the open playground, carnival games, petting zoo, and bouncy house. Local vendors set up on the elementary school blacktop, and many students had the opportunity to tour the local Farmville Fire Department's fire truck, watch dance demos, tour the school, and complete spring-themed crafts. Attendees enjoyed the music provided by a DJ throughout the event.
