Slime Time

Prince Edward County Elementary School students recently engaged in a vibrant celebration of National Literacy Month. Each day featured a different theme inspired by books, including dressing up as favorite book characters, Crazy Socks Day, and Wacky Tacky Day. The festivities aimed to ignite creativity and excitement for reading among young learners. As the month continued, students "traveled" as they participated in Get Caught Reading. A bulletin board was updated weekly as students read. Eagles also read to other Eagles; for example, our fourth-grade students recently read to first-grade students. The goal was to read 2500 books by March 27. The goal was reached, and an assembly was held for the principal and assistant principals to be slimed!
